Right then the specs, it's an aggressive sata Samsung Writemaster SH-S203B.

The problem, well it's always misbehaved even on my previous rig, just my straws gotten too short and i'm almost ready to spend another £15 just so I can ram a high speed claw hammer through it's sodding case!!!!

Ok to the fault, I press the open drive button, as anyone would expect the drive opens... 'huzzah', but by the time i placed the disc in the drive it's already closing. F***ing G** T**Ting piece of S*** :fou:. Then once I've manually opened/explored the the DISC in 'My Computer' or by launching a game/DVD the Ruddy thing decides it's going to break MACH, behaving like a Tasmanian Devil on HEAT and not stopping till I've pushed it's button!!!! I'm in control!!! I'm the MAN!!! Not this B****y Disc drive!!

What I've tried so far, ramming the Ruddy tray closed when i occasionally beat it of the mark, firmware updates, holding the tray open teasing it for upto an hour on occasions, wedging objects into the tray to teach it to STAY the feck OPEN, reinstalling my X-Fi drivers ( dun ask someone on google had similar problem I followed like a sheep and just end up in the DIP shed!!!!

Yes it makes me sound like I deserve to be in a loony bin, but i can be a perfectionist and 'THIS' isn't perfection!!

I'm holding my drive at claw point!!! If I don't get an answer that satisfactorily fixes the problem it 'WILL' die and i'll spread pictures all over the internet just so you know just what an EVIL blighter looks like on the inside!!!!!!
