Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4

I recently bought a Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 mobo and installed 2 sticks of 2gb memory. I booted the pc and all is well except for one problem. The pc is only recognizing 3 gb instead of 4gb. How do I get the mobo ot recognize the other 1gb?

what operating system you using? if i remember correctly the 32 bit windows xp/vista will only see 3gb max, it will only see all 4 gb if you have 64 bit windows

If your under a 32bit OS (XP or Vista) you'll only see around 3gig's of memory. If you have a 64bit OS (XP64 or Vista64) than you should be seeing all 4gb's, which I'm sure that you don't have either of those OS's installed by your ?
