Hey guys, looks like i'm done overclocking my e8400. I reached FSB 1640 and could go no further, i tried everything, from Chipset voltage to CPU Core and FSB voltage... so i backed it up at 1600 and stayed there. My core voltage is 1.264V(CPU-Z), 1.3V(Actual). My core temps are 41/43 at idle and 47/49 at full load under Prime95.
Anyways you guys think i reached the nForce 650 limit ?
1600mhz fsb is extremely high for 650i. Good job there!
And no, it would take basically a miracle to go much beyond that. Also, I would monitor chipset temperature and consider buying chipset coolers. At that fsb, 680i will run very hot.

Nice overclock Huttfuzz! Like dagger said, getting 1600Mhz+ on a 650i chipset is very high indeed and not typical and he is also correct in that you will want to start looking at better cooling solutions if you plan to maintain a 3.6Ghz overclock 24/7. I don't recommend you do that, but instead would tell you to run your E8400 at stock speeds whenever you are not benchmarking or showing off at LAN parties
Remember, that over time, agressive overclocking degrades performance and will shorten the life of your hardware (motherboard and CPU). If you have a money tree in your backyard, go for it!

I really think it wont damage my CPU, because the core voltage is stock and my temps are really good. For the Chipset you might be right. The thing is it's already an old chip so i might change the mobo within a year or so to be able to do a 4 ghz.
