Hello, my CPU is working at 80 to 100% - and the System process at 60 - 70 %. Can anyone suggest how to solve this problem? My system process can be found in this link.

You have too many processes and not enough CPU. Either eliminate as many unused processes as possible, or use a dual core or quad core processor. As a side effect you will need to use a better motherboard to match. 3GB RAM is a really good idea.
If you do not have at least 1 GB RAM, XP will not run very well, and will run as you describe (slow and clogged), and on an older computer it's usually not worth the trouble of upgrading the RAM, the improvement may only marginal. If the computer is newer, then by all means upgrade the RAM to 1 GB or more.

Thank you Soundguruman for the reply. I am using Intel's dual CPU E2140 with 2 GB RAM and XP Sp3. I'd be glad if you can suggest which processes I should remove. The weird thing is that, sometimes the CPU goes way down to 3 to 10% with the same processes. This fluctuation happens randomly as I have observed.

It could be due to my slow processor speed too @1.6Ghz.
Right now my system very fast and smooth again at 1 to 10% CPU usage... see http://img231.imageshack.us/i/weirdw.jpg/

I'd also like to know how to check if my motherboard is okay..
Any suggestions are appreciated?
