No Need for DDR2-1066 RAM.
DDR2-800 will let you OC that Chip to 3.6Ghz, though you may only be able to hit 3.4Ghz due to temp limits. Depends on the chip.

Why on earth a Phenom?
It's slower per clock and will run about 1.0Ghz slower due to all of the current L3 Cache issues.

Maybe AMD will get it fixed sometime next year, but right now I would not touch a Phenom unilt they get the L3 cache issue fixed.

However, I would not hold my breath on that one.
From what I have read, it's been a long know issue and they have not fixed it yet and the primary reason they have continually dialed back the clock speeds.

You can get the KO if you want, I got the eVGA 8800GT SC and OC'd it up to SSC similar spec and It works just fine. All the coolers on all the eVGA GT's are all the same and are rated for 100C.

RivaTuner 2.06 (Got it to work with new 169.12 Beta Display Driver)
My 8800GT SC OC (Stock tops at 91C)

Clock: 650 -> 701
Shader: 1625 -> 1752
memory: 950 -> 950 (Didn't need to change)

To keep it cool enough I had to up the fan speed to 75% and it tops at 71C
