Cant find my hibernation tab

I cannot see my hibernation option in the power options or anywhere.

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

They hid it in Vista but to work around that, press the Windows key and R together and into the Open box, type cmd then press Enter. At the Command Prompt in the black form, type powercfg /hibernate off then press Enter.

Restart your computer and you will find the file hiberfil.sys has disappeared from your C:\ drive - so long as you have hidden and system files enabled.
