I am currently doing a new build, and looking to Crossfire some 2900pro's(flashing them to XT) along with 2GB of DDR2 as DDR2 is dirt cheap while DDR3 is Sky high expensive.

Right now ive heard some good reviews of the X38 ASUS P5E

I do plan on Overlclocking a QX6850 i just bought and im left wondering how good this board will handle OCing compared to other X38's like the Abit Quat GT

Or gigabytes X38 offering

Any user experience/input would be appreciated if any of you happen to own these, i read some reviews but most do single mother comparison of compare them to the P35 Chipset which im not interested in.

I will 2nd that chook.

Do you already have the 2900s or can you get them dirt cheap? Because the 3850\70 are way better.

The 2900Pros are dirt cheap on Newegg at the moment, cheaper then the HD 3850, which has less memory and less memory bandwidth, and is not better then an HD 2900XT, except for the fact that it uses much less power and produces much less heat.

Dirt cheap Newegg has them for $170 and some easy OCing/bio's flashing can get me 2 2900XTs for the price of $340(about as much as a single 8800GT/GTS COSTS!)

i have my mind set on CF anyway.

But i really want help picking an easy to use good OCing mobo.
