I am looking for some memory for my laptop (Toshiba Satellite U300) and would like some recommendations as to mnufacturers/quality/speed etc. So far I have had a look at...

Kingston
Patriot Signature

Any others I should look at? Help!

I'm not too aware of my laptop memory but you should probably check out Corsair as well. I think for laptops though Kingston are usually your best bet.

Can I use PC2-6400 ddr2 800mhz? I ran the Crucial memory scanner on their website to check for compatible memory and it suggests PC2 6400 800mhz as the top recommendation.

What is the difference between 5300 and 6400? Apart from price! Will there be much performance gain?
