Hello, I'm helping a friend to build and choose hardware for his new pc, and we are now picking RAMs

well, these are the candidates :


  • OCZ Platinum EB XTC 2GB Kit (2x1024MB) DDR3 PC3-14400 1800MHz


or

  • Corsair TWIN3X2048-1800C7DFIN G Dominator DDR3 7-7-7-20 2x1024MB 1800MHz DHX Heat Spreader <-- 30-40$ cheaper



other specs are gonna be:

  • Asus P5E3 DELUXE/WIFI-AP iX38 4DDR3-DIMM 2PCI 4PCIe SATA Raid Audio DUAL GB-LAN WiFi-AP Firewire Socket775 ATX
  • Intel Core 2 QUAD Q6700 2.66GHz 8MB FSB1066 Boxed (with cpu-cooler!) Socket 775
  • BFG GeForce 8800Ultra OC 630MHz GPU 768MB DDR3 TV-out HDTV DUAL DVI SLI-ready RETAIL PCI Express

The CORSAIR one has better timings but the difference between them(the timings) arent much, so i say go for the one which is cheaper as MrsBytch said

This looks like an easy pick to me, buy the Corsair. I've used both Corsair and OCZ and like them both, so I've no bones to pick. Cheaper price and better timings make Corsair the number one, here.
