I'm going to overclock my CPU to around 4Ghz and I would prefer using either of these two fans (as I'll get a special deal from my friend for them) but if the temp difference is big enough I'll consider a different one.
What's your opinion?
------------------------------It is a very newb question, which is why I ask it.
Idel temps don't matter, as long as it's not too high. Load temp should be kept lower than the cpu's thermal threshold, which is different for every cpu model. 71 for Q6600.

To give you all the info we'd need to use the exact fans, case, ambient room temp, your exact CPU and cooler, and remount it 10-30 times to tell you. And then only be off 5-9C.
If you get a good cooler and mount it right and have good fans on the case and don't auto-expect an easy 4ghz OC you'll be fine.
Why not the Thermalright TRUE? It is still a top perfomer and well recommened on most of the real hardware OC boards. This isn't the place where most hardcore hardware folks hang out.
OC forums and xtreme forums. Read for a few days and look for 900 builds, there are tons of them.
The one that dagger is using looks good (from specs). would skip on one she listed first. 1 - it uses the push pins, big advocate of a backing plate when overclocking. 2nd it has a Al block vs Cu.
Concur with Dagger comment on idle temps, pay more attention to load temps. Don't rely to heavily on manf claims. read several different independent reviews paying attention to Loaded temps.
When going for the high end OC's, go for one with a backing Plate (Note one review knocked backing plate solely because of "harder to install" - Hog wash!). I prefer Cu block, higher temp transfer coefficent (Al ligher and Cheaper). Might want to consider HSF with two fan in push-pull arrangement when shooting for 4 GHz on air.
