I want to be able to play UT3 and do some photo editing. I reviewed many forums/posts and this is what I came up with, but the cost is to good to be true. Any comments would be helpful.

Yes... what kind of graphics card do you want to get. My suggestion is to get an 8800GT but you may want to go bigger.... when are you going to build? If you wait prices will drop in Q1 08 and the newer D8E will be out from nvidia.

I would get this board instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130098

Everything else looks good... you went very expensive for a case... spend more on the cpu and get the Q6600 and less on case.

What about keyboard, monitor, mouse, and all that other stuff!?

IDK about Leadtek, but I'd really wait on getting an EVGA model, or atleast some other manufacturer that offers lifetime coverage on the product.

I can wait for parts that will decrease in January 08, but need a business write off for this year.

What is D8E from NVIDIA?

Thanks for all the help

I would get the Q6600 if you are going to be doing a lot of office apps stuff and music editing. It's four cores vs. two cores. It's only 279 right now and will drop in price in a few weeks.

D8E is the codename of the gpu that nvidia is going to release in the first quarter of 2008. It is basically 2 8800GT chips on a single card. It will be well priced I believe and a good high end buy.
