Best budget board for OC'ing with Pentium E2160?

Just read the Tom's article about overclocking the Pentium Dual Core E2160 from 1.8 ghz to 3.2 ghz, and think I want to do this myself. They used a P35-DS3P which is about $145, but apparently there are other boards that will do the trick for under $100. Any suggestions?

Incidentally, I heard that one of the P35 boards has known problems which I'd obviously like to avoid...

Also, has anyone had any experience OC'ing this combo and what do you think? Thanks!

Thanks Juice.

One more question to narrow things down - if I want to go SLI in the future, do any of the P35 boards support SLI? I've been trying to find out but that information is not easy to find unless I examine spec's on each individual board.

I'm going with the 8800GT and want the option of adding a second one in the future when prices come donw.

No, none of the P35 support SLI. It's a waste anyways. By the time prices drop, there will be something bigger and better then 2 8800GT's

It also depends on your monitor. Anything smaller than 24 sont bother with SLI

Personally I like the DS3L

God, avoid MSI like the plague. That company is riddled with horrible products...like my motherboard and my old graphics card.

They have poor tech support (read: software for their products, drivers), and cheap products, which they mercilessly trim features out of to appeal to budgeters.

My board doesn't even have an option to change your processor vcore.

Granted, it's a Neo-F P965, so that may have changed with the p35 series...but I doubt it's changed much.

Get a Neo2-FR(p35) cheap and high quality, i've got one, and i recommend it to everyone, one of my best deals. I've oc'd a 2180 to 3ghz, limited by CPU voltage 1.5v, the mobo knows lot more
