More Information

I just built this new gaming computer-
Intel Q6600
Gigabyte DS3L P35
Club3d 8800 GT 512MB Heatpipe cooling + fan
WD 320AAKS
LG x20 DVD burner
Enermax Chakra (w/25cm side fan)
+ 12cm AC FAN
Enermax Liberty 400w

What do you think about? How should I set up the fans? Should I buy another 12cm FAN? What parts should I return/switch? Should I but a custom CPU heatsink? (if yes, which?) Please give me some advice.

Thanks :)

(I dont plan on overclocking).

If you are not gonna OC, looks good. Even the stock cooler can get you to about 3.0 ish. (Depending on other factors.)

The Power supply is a bit on the weak side, but should be find for non OCing.

As far as your fans go, just use common sense! You obviously want the fans directing air over the chipset of the board, ram and maybe directing outside air over the cpu cooler and vid card. Just try and keep them going one way, in the front then out the back, etc.

Then again, there is that Fan!

Wanna do me a favor? I like new q6x00s. How about DLing core temp and runnin' it. Then tell me the cpu revision/stepping and the VID. (Also, run a program and watch the VID and make sure it doesnt chance.)

You'll only need a different cooler if that one fails to work properly, or you wanna OC after all. Those chips are quite easy to OC. (except for one person.)

Thanks, and have fun! Maybe you should plan on overclocking! Look where you are!
