Help! 6750 Stock Fan

Building my first system...

A vid card and mem sticks will arrive on wednesday, but i was curious to find out whether system would even run or not. Well... system turns on(yes!).. HD, DVD and 120mm fans seem working properly(another yes!).. I looked thru side window and CPU fan isn't spinning(NOoooo!).

It's a stock fan that came with e6750. Power seems to be reaching the cpu fan, because it's moving a bit(just not spinning)...so is this normal? i am hoping that cpu fan is in a sleep mode because it's just a startup and heatsink isn't hot enough to warrant spinning. am i disillusioned? is cpu fan suppose to spinning at 100% of time when system is on?

Perhaps the fan is not spinning because there are some parts missing from the system. Like the vid card and mem sticks. Try it again after installing those. What motherboard(make/model) are you using?

it's a GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard

I am really hoping that the cpu fan isn't spinning because heatsink isn't hot enough to warrant powering up... gonna hate myself once thermal pad between cpu and HS melts..making it a pain in the ass job of replacing a HS
