Formated hard drive

i formated my 250gbmaxtor hard drive when i tried toinstal xp windows back into the hard drive the boot info said no operating system found.i checked the bios and my hard drive isnt showing in the bios. what can i do?

You need to set the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device. After that, once you restart, you'll see a message to 'press any key.' That will begin the windows installation process.

If you have a SATA hard drive, you'll need XP SP2 or SP3. If your install disc is SP1, then you'll need to slipstream one of the newer service packs into the install disc.
