Can I run DDR2 on Asus Maximus Extreme?

Hi..guys,

I need your help, in the very short time I'm planning to upgrade my current motherboard Asus P5B Deluxe with Asus Maximus Extreme, but I found a liitle problem with the memory, which I don't want to upgrade to DDR3 at this moment due to the fact that the price is still sky high.

Anyhow, my current memory is Corsair Twin2x2048-8500C5D, my biggest question is can I run these memory on Maximus Extreme? Cause I found on Asus site and on other review sites, the answer didn't quite satisfy me.

from what I've heard, maximus extreme is DDR3 only and maximus formula is DDR2 only. have a look at this: http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4767&Itemid=40
