iBuypower shows off nearly indestructible computer case

Most computer cases are fairly flimsy contraptions of sheet metal and aluminum, but iBuypower is developing a new case that promises to be much tougher. The case, aptly code-named the "Tank", is a welded aluminum case that, according to Darren Su of iBuypower, can withstand a 300 pound man standing on it. Found it in a dumpster.

I'll probably make it black with red glow from those fins...maybe a window and some hoses sticking out here and there.

That reminds me of the case that came with the Dell I bought back in 1998. Ugly as can be, but par for the course back in those days. Beyond that, it held everything just fine and lasted through half a dozen builds before I gave it away.

i took it to a big lan party once with an old school CRT from '92. it was hilarious. it won me the tournament though.

I couldn't stand using that (although I had to use something very very similar for my first computer)

I cut the backing of the fins so that it looked like a grill and cut a hole to put a green led 80mm fan that looked pretty cool.

Now that i think about it, I should have kept it.
