Lost all my 'libraries' icons

Hello,
I recently purchased a windows 8 HP laptop and began installing new programs as a teen does, but somewhere in the mix I seemed to lose all of my libraries icons...documents, music, pictures and videos. all of the icons, gone, and therefore the laptop won't allow me to open them. I tried to run a Norton Antivirus scan, it says that apparently the files do not exist. Any ideas on what I can do? I'm freaking out, I've already busted my new computer.
