So I currently have a P35 Chipset Mobo with a 8800GTS (512) and a E6550. Intel's new chips are coming out in January, and the question is, should I upgrade? Would it be worth upgrading? (I got the E6550 for free) I may overclock a bit, and I'll primarily use my comp to play the latest new games (Crysis, World in Conflict, CoD 4, etc.)

So should I stay with my current E6550 for the time being, or upgrade in january to either a:
1) E8500
2) q9350
3) q9450?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Your current rig is totally fine. Unless you game at ultra-high resolution (1920 x 1200), and / or ultra-high detail, your GPU should handle fine. Also, most modern games still do not take advantage of multi-core. Therefore, upgrading to a quad core will likely not yield any significant increase in performance.

However, if you have the funds to do it, you can wait a bit until mid next year, then upgrade to a Yorkfield. By that time, the pricing on those quad cores should come down a bit. After that, you're pretty much set for the next two years.
