Choosing a Game

Hi,

I presently have SimCity 4 Deluxe, but find it too new-fangled to play. I
want to trade it in for a simpler version, but one that is also recent.
Would that be SimCity 3000? Or what?

Thanks in advance,

- Ruby Tuesday

Sim City 3000 was the one before Sim City 4 yes, and it is much less
complicated but as it is an older game, the graphics arn't as good and you
can do less, also, it plays completely differently ie. you have to run your
city in a completely different way to be successful.

What about the fact that SC3k has the auto disaster mode on all the time, so
you always have destruction in the city. Actually this is why i found SC4 a
bit boring, you are in control of natural disasters all the time and so
should lighting strike, it will be a building you want to get rid of and no
an accident.

It depends if you like disasters or not, I supose they could have put that
option into SC4, but I never used to have disasters switched on in SC3k so
it doesn't realy bother me.

My advice is not to give up. I found it boring/difficult at first, then
found a cheat that gave me lots of money to experiment and find how it
worked.
Now I enjoy it without cheating. (a powerful pc and video card work wonders
too).
