I read the Tom’s article describing their 2008 reference platform “Standardized Test Hardware for 2008…Asus P5E3 Deluxe”. After weeks of research, I had settled on an Asus product, but was leaning more toward the P5E3 WS Professional or even the P5E64 WS Professional as the computer will be mainly used for large financial spreadsheets and CAD work. I started trying to get price and availability on these three boards but could find no retailer in the USA (I do not want Deluxe/WIFI-AP@n).
Does anyone have a lead on an authorized Asus retailer who can deliver the P5E64 or either of these other boards? If not, does anyone have any idea when these products might be available?
I found that too. I was surprised that it was only $20 less than the WiFi version. I had thought that stripping wireless and Express Gate functionality would lop more off the price.
