Dear all,

I want to build a system but i have a tight budget of around 500$, 600$ maximum. I want a BFG 8800 GT OC
in the system so that already takes away 280$ from the rest.

Do you have any ideas of what i will need in order to not bottleneck this graphics card but still remain
close to the budget?
This system will be for playing games such as Crysis, COD4, B2142, NFS Pro Street, etc.

I am planning on making this system in February so there isnt too much a of a rush and prices may fall but please suggest anything. Thanks!

Well, prices should have dropped on that card by then. For one, they came out at $220 but were jacked when demand was so high. For two, nVidia is supposedly about to release a new GTS. Too much can happen in two months to make a good recommendation.

Search around for an 8800GT. I would spend no more than $250 on one. Check BestBuy.com.

I would go something like this:

$250 - 8800GT
$83 - Intel e2160 (overlock to 3.0'ish GHz)
$95 - Gigabyte P35 motherboard
$50 - 2gb DDR2-800 (with rebate)
$60 - 250gb Sata (WD or Seagate)
$30 - Samsung or Pioneer DVD burner
$40-55 - FSP or Corsair 450vx PSU
$30+ - Case with 120mm intake and exhaust fans

That seems like it would be a good build, see as the E2160 would overclock well. The post above with the parts list looks good. If you need a budget p35 mobo, I would suggest the GA-P35-DS3L from gigabyte bout $100. good luck.
