hi i just bought a 250gb 7200RPM HDD for my new rig and i also bought Vista Home Basic 64bit.
The problem is this, next month ill buy a 300gb velociraptor and i want the faster HDD (the velociraptor) for booting windows, but i will have to install the OS in the slower drive and i would format and install again but Vista only allows me to install it once.
Is there any way i can change the HDD that boots windows?

You can install your copy as many times as you like as long as you mobo dont change.

You could also clone old to new when your reaady and then format the old for just storage.

I sure cant figure out why you bought home basic!!!!!!!!!
