it is called a DRIVER?? i heard that i cant downgrade my computer. vista to xp.
is it true??
i might get free computer (100% suck one) and i dont want to use it with win vista

All you have to do is a full format before installing XP. You'll need the XP drivers, which you should be able to get from the mobo and hardware mfg websites.

If you don't know what a driver is I wouldn't recommend trying to install any OS on your own.

I would disagree, one way to learn is by doing and your not likely to damage the computer itself screwing up a Windows installation, not like screwing up a BIOS installation. Definitely could waste a lot of time if you don't know what you're doing. Do suggest the OP read this. If the OP has never installed drivers, would be best to use the CDs that came with the mobo and hardware starting with the mobo CD. Most CDs walk you through the process. To update most websites provide instructions. Would suggest never to install the updated drivers Windows finds when doing Windows updates.
