I need help guys choosing RAM for the GIGABYTE P35 DS3L but first I need to ask a question. Is there a P35 version of ASUS? if yes, what is it called?

Well, I am having either an ASUS p35 of the P35 DS3L GIGABYTE motherboard and I want decent 2 x2GB 800mhz RAM. I got a recommendation to get the Mushkins but I can't buy from newegg and amazon.com is my only option. This is what I came up with.

ASUS P35 boards are ASUS P5K , ASUS P5K-E WIFI ....

from those definitely go for the OCZ REAPER RAM, it has the best cooling and best timings between those other 2 RAMs
i love mine :) runs well and OCs good too :d

Thanks Maziar, I guess I will go for the Reaper RAM :)

About ASUS motherboard, isn't it better quality than GIGABYTE? I trust ASUS myself. But I looked for the P5K and I found 21 sub models and I was really lost. Can you link a model for me?

I'm running a E6750 2.66 core 2 duo, 8800 GTS 512 nVidia, the reaper ram you recommended and an Aurora GIGABYTE case.

But the non-WIFI version is cheaper, unless you need a WIFI access point/connection.

With the P5K, there's models that support DDR2, DDR3, both, have WI-FI (or not). You can check out their list, and see them at http://usa.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=534. Personally, I'd look at the PK5C, as it has the combination of DDR2 and DDR3 memory, giving you an extra upgrade option in the future. The -E does have more SATA connections, though, and SATA RAID is better supported.

No,ASUS P5K-E WIFI has better cooling that P5K-E non wifi and P5K
i dont recommend the P5KC, because :
1_DDR2 option is limited to 8GB but DDR3 option is limited to 4GB, so the DDR3 option wont become useful
2_P5K-E WIFI and P5K OC better than P5KC due to the memory controller
3_DDR3 doesnt have alot of difference with DDR2 (0%-10%)
