i have 2 computers, computer A: has a 8800gts g92 and a psu of 550w with two 6 pin connectors (SLI RDY).
computer B: has a psu of 300w....i have a 7950gt...but i know that 300w are not enough to power up that gfx card
\so my question is.....can i connect the 7950 gt to computer "B" using the extra 6 pin connector of computer "A"
umm.... I'm not sure your 550w PSU will survive the experience of two graphics cards (some brands probably could some couldn't, u haven't been specific)... and the computer towers would have to be right next to each other for the cables to reach, but I suppose in theory.....
oh and you'd have to have both running simultaeneously
What make & model is the 300w PSU? If it's a decent enough one you don't have a problem as 7950gt's only use about 40watts at full load ... I used to have one in my shuttle alongside a E6600 and the 250w shuttle power supply, and it was perfect.
