SCSI HD? Worth it?

I'm going to build a new system and thought about adding a SCSI HD. I can get a used 36 GB 15K RPM for about $25. (Fujitisu). the guide is a big proponent: http://scsi.radified.com/

Anyone use or have thoughts about SCSI Drives? Please don't suggest RAID as the thought of the complexity doesn't seem worth it.

I also want a quiet system and am concerned that high RPM may make a whining noice, but I had another Fujitsu hd and it was my first quiet drive -- 1.6 GB!

I'll be building with and Asus P5q Pro. Any recommendations for SCSI adapter? I see a lot on eBay, or PCI vs PCI-e?

Thanks!

if you want a quiet system then a 15k rpm scsi drive is definitely not the way you want to go. SCSI drivers are built for sturdiness and performance, not for quietness.

I have owned several 15k RPM SCSI drives, and they are quite loud. They make a high pitch noise akin to a jet engine. If noise is a problem, then you definitely shouldn't consider a 15k RPM drive.
