Hello,the video player does not open up automatically

Need more details here, is the issue when you put in a DVD it does not play auotmatically? Has it ever worked? Did you install something or change a setting before it broke? Do things play OK if you go into the drive letter and play it that way, or from whatever program you use to play video files?
