Length of 8800GTS 512?

Was pontificating ordering an EVGA 8800 GTS 512, but wondering if anyone has the card and knows it's length. My case is the Antec P180 which is nice but not huge.... fits my x1900xt 256 well enough but the 8800GTX is too large

Tom's Hardware states that reference design is 23cm (9"), which would be great... only I'm reading reviews that state the card is surprisingly large. No probs if it's just thick but I wanna make sure it can fit in my case before I order one.

Thanks for the feedback in advance.

Hey gearbox,

I doubt you would have any problems fitting it in. I just bough a 'generic' 8800 G92 GTS and as far as I can see the only potential obstacles are your motherboard and any PCI card you might have installed right next to your PCI-E slot. The card is thicker (about 2x) than the 8800GT so it might render the closest PCI slot unusable but as far as the length of the GTS card is concerned you shouldn't have any problems.

It fits in just fine on my Asus P5B-E Plus anyway and i certainly don't see your case being a problem.
Hope that helps.

I just measured mine. Installed it is 10 inches front to back but you will need 11 inches total with the pcie power plug! Hope this helps

I have a P180 and an 8800GTS 640 *first Gen*

You can easily remove the HD Cage that is infront of the video card for more room if you need it, My drives are in the bottom.

That looks to be about the same length as my X1900XTX in my p180 case. Anyone know the size difference? Im not real worried about fitting mine in, but I am just curious. I am pretty sure my dad bought the EVGA 8800GTS 640mb SSC Edition for me for xmas (I sent him links to that and the 3870 on december 2nd not knowing the the 8800GTS 512mb would be 10% faster and still be readily available at launch...go figure) so I am glad to see it looks like it should fit fine.

Best,
