Dlink DSL-2640B LAN - My Desktop (Vista x64) - Family Desktop (Vista x64)
WLAN - My Laptop (Vista x32) - Mums Notebook (XP)
The notebook is an Asus Eee PC 701SD.
- It connects fine when wired directly to the router.
- It finds the wireless network and tries to connect.
- Sends packets but does not receive.
- Says signal strength is Excellent.
- ipconfig /all reports that the IP address is 0.0.0.0
- Connected fine to the instore wireless network when we took it back to the shop. - ipconfig /release + ipconfig /renew reports: "An error has occurred while renewing interface Wireless Network Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out.
- Settings are set to obtain IP and DNS automatically.
- Network adapter: Realtech Wireless LAN PCIE Network Adapter #3
Can anyone help? This bugs me because my Sony Vaio laptop connected to the network right out of the box.
