can't get cheats to work

Archived from groups: alt.games.simcity (More info?)

I hit ctrl-x and get the cheat window and I can type words into the
window, but nothing happens when I hit enter. The window stays there
until I hit ESC. From everything I've read, that shouldn't be the way
it behaves. Any ideas?

That is strange....hmm.....well, my brother plays it and uses codes and it works for him. I am not sure, but there maybe wrong with etheir your computer, installations, or whatever program. Do you have a virus? The EA games website said "If you have a virus, it may cause problems, like changing files."

I can't really help you now because I can't even install Simcity 4 myslef (he he he). Sorry .
