I was wondering when I was mobo searching. I presently have a cable modem directly inserted into my mobo as well as to my phone (My local cablevision monopoly's triple package). On the Gigabyte EP45-DS3R, I see dual 10/100/1000mpbs...LAN, 2nd LAN. THis is fuzzy. Connecting 2 modems into the mobo? Can someone explain it to me. Thanx

Either LAN will work with your cable modem. If you have load-balancing software/hardware(router), you can double the networking speed. For the average home with 1 internet connection, the 2nd LAN can be left unused.

Oh ok, thanx. In my network connections, where it says: Connected, the duration, and the speed which is 100.0 mbps.
