Hi I need help to overclock my pc, I currently overclocked it to 1333FSB/667RAM (2.3ghz 1333FSB) which is a motherboard overclock option which is stable. I dont know how to set it manually to go up 2.4ghz++ up, it wouldn't boot, maybe Im setting the wrong values. Please help with the values in FSB, RAM timings, VCORE, etc... I'm new to overclocking so no experience at all. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you

my PC specs are:

Core 2 Duo 6300 1.86 ghz 1066 FSB
4gig ddr2 667 pc5300 Kingston RAM 4-4-4-12
ASUS P5LD2 r2 motherboard
1gig XFX 7950gx2 videocard
Winxp 32bit sp3

with your ram, it is not possible to go above 2.3 (ie, 667mhz).. Only way is to try and overclock your ram too.. loosen timings to 5-5-5-15 or higher and increase ur fsb in 5mhz steps... Also check out THG's guide to overclocking.

If you can unlink the FSB and memory in the BIOS then you can leave the RAM at 667 and overclock the CPU more.

1333FSB is gonna be about max with your ram and your Mobo. If you had 800 ram you still would only get like 2.8 if you could get a 400FSB whick I doubt. At 400 your effective FSB would be 1600 and your mobo probably cant handle it. None of your components are great overclocking components.
