Im running 4 320gb samsung f1s in raid0 on intel ich10r, when i setup the array i have the options of 4kb, 8kb 16kb 32kb 64kb and 128kb stripe option. My question is what one do i use ? i have no idea the benifit or decline in performance of these options, what you experienced raid guys say i should use ?

I've heard mostly that games like a smaller stripe size, while large applications, like photoshop like a larger. I personally use 64k because it's a good balance between the 2.

Yeah i did some research on the subject i guess there is no perfect size stripe. I went and tested different size stripes from 8kb to 128kb, as far as benchmarks the smaller the stripe makes a huge difference, but in real wolrd i dont know, im kinda happy with 32kb, i agree with you to kinda be in the middle ground area is probally best, thanks for your reply.
