Steam question

Hi, i want to be quick cuz i got question. I bought Dota 2 on steam couple of days earlier and now one friend of my bro want to send him a Dota 2 as a gift but my bro is using steam on my PC and whenever i enter his account i see Dota2 and all games i got because its on one pc. Well when he accept gift then he will be able to play dota but all things he do like achievs will be saved on his account?
