2) windows freezing .. there is to become interesting: not everthing in same moment but app one by one stop responding ... in few min whole system is totaly stuned - cold restart

Possible issues with Windows Vista* and Intel® RAID contreller hub:
Cause:
A change was made by Microsoft* in the Windows Vista setup process. The result of this change is that the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager Link Power Management (LPM) registry settings that were intended for mobile installations are added for desktop installations as well. These LPM registry settings are added for both the Intel® Matrix Storage Manager RAID driver on the Windows Vista installation disk, as well as for any drivers added during the installation process.

then they are sugest some work-arounds, but non of them work for me ...
tested:
1) default vista driver (STOP or autorestart after few hours)
2) intel drivers 7.5 (Intel® Matrix Storage Manager) for my ich9r (STOP or autorestart or freezing after boot) - Intel®
3) intel drivers 8.5 (Intel® Matrix Storage Manager) for my ich9r (freezing after boot)
4) every work-around sugested by intel (no change)
5) in win registy deleteing keys with LPM settings for iastor.sys and iastorV.sys (freezing after 5min)
6) safe mode freez after 10 to 15 min
7) with raid switched to standard IDE in bios, system is rock stable (RAID drivers are inactive)
8) before vista i had xp sp2 with same HW configuration and all work just fine for more then year!
solution:
only two i know of:
1) disassemble RAID - use IDE or AHCI (unacceptable!)
2) going back to xp, with means 40% performance down in 3d for me. (unacceptable!) -------------
In my opinion intel and microsoft blame each other and forgot to do some fix for this issue or maeby they ar incapable to do it, or maeby i miss somethin, i dont know ... as i try to find out around web how to repair this hole in vista i came acros many user with same problems, but none of them found any answer what to do ...
so any help is much appreciated!
and sor for my eng
