So I plan on upgrading a pc that seems to be obsolete and here is what I got...

AMD X2 5000+ BE
8800GT 512 probably eVGA...
WD 160 HD 16MB cache
Two old optical drives

And right now I have a FSP 450W and it has two +12V rails at 18A each... now the 8800GT needs 26A on the +12V rails.. so do I need to upgrade or will it survive.....?.

FSP is a decent basic PSU. I think you are good to go.

I concur, with two 18A rails you should get upwards of 30A at full load.
