8800gt low 3dmark score/performance...

I just Bought xfx 8800gt its 600/1800 .. my cpu is Intel Pentium D945i=950..(3.4ghz)
2gigs or ram and my PSU is Blue Storm its 500w and im getting like 9200 3dmark05 score when i had a ~8500 on my 7900gt... whats wrong? maybe i installed the card wrong ill make a photo later L im sure my power supply is vgood and i dont have to buy like a 700W one(i hope) sorry for enlgish :) HALP!)

My 3dmark05 is on a Default

Resolutin-"1024x768"
AA - None
Filtering-optimal
Fixed Frames: OFF

What's the amps on the 12+ rails on your power supply?

Your processor is bottlenecking the card.

FSP Blue storm 500W can easily run a 8800GT.
It got 18A on the dual +12V rails I would like to add.

i could be wrong, but at 1024x768 you're probably going to be more cpu bound than anything else. if you can run the benchmark at something like 1600x1200 you should see a bigger difference between the video cards. also, max out AA and filtering for the tests. pentium d is just plain old.

O darn you beat me to it. "Processers have a big impact on 3DMark06 scores." Without a Core 2 Duo your bottlenecking your 8800GT.
