i have two velociraptor 300g hard drives that i would like to put in raid 0 but i have no idea how to do it or anything i could realy use some help if someone is up to the task i would be very thankful
Nobody will be able to help you if we dont know what hardware you have.
But also before you go the RAID 0 route you need to understand why you "need" RAID 0. Or any other RAID level for that matter. Which really brings me to my point, if you are technical enough to understand WHY you need RAID you will be technical enough to set it up.
Go do some reading about RAID, google it. Once you understand RAID and why or why not to use it, you may also understand how to set it up. If not try reading the manual for what ever controller you are planning to use. If that fails then return here and ask more questions. Either myself or others will glad to help.

If you have to ask the question, you should not use raid.
There is generally no real world(vs. synthetic transfer rate benchmarks) performance advantage to raid of any kind.
Go to www.storagereview.com at this link: http://faq.storagereview.com/tiki- [...] iveVsRaid0 There are some specific applications that will benefit, but
gaming is not one of them. Even if you have an application which reads one input file sequentially, and writes
it out, you will perform about as well by putting the input on one drive, and the output on the other.
