Hello, I am running a SATA-1 150GBWD Raptor. My schools computers are lightning fast, so I built a comp that completly blows theres away and it still seems slower. I was thinking of upgrading my harddrive to SATA 2 but not a raptor. Would that make much difference from SATA 1 to SATA 2?

Something else is going on.

Sata-1 and sata-2 determine the maximum transfer rate between the hard drive buffer, and the cpu. Since even the fastest hard drives can not reach sata-1 speeds on platter to buffer speeds, so it makes little difference.
