Modem or provider?

Forum Networking : General Discussion Modem or provider?

Getting really tired of seeing

12 08/17/08 18:58:28 R04.0 critical Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, but no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received - T4 timeout
13 08/17/08 18:58:29 T01.0 critical SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing

This will happen 10 times or more a day, usually between 10am and 5pm. It has been doing it later in the day now. Internet modem will usually have 4 flashing green lights, but when these messages appear in the modem log, the top will be green, the next will be flashing yellow, then none, then green. I have a dcm-202 cable modem using Comcast.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Thanks

For those that are interested in the solution: I purchased a new surfboard sb5101 modem and it has worked great since. The SNR ratio went from 32-31db on the dlink to around 34db on the SB. No drops yet.. will see how it does.
