More Information

Hello

I am having some sound issues on my Maximus Formula board. I have tried 3 different soundcards, the Supreme FX II, SB audigy 2 and an SB Extreme Gamer X-fi. On the Supreme FX II and the Extreme Gamer cards you can hear static noise from the headphones, kind of like a used Vinyl record (for those who remember those). Sometimes you hear more high pitched sounds aswell. Theese symptoms arent there on the SB audigy 2 card.

Since the sounds are still there even if I turn the volume to 0, I assume its some form of static/EMI noise that I am hearing.

On the ASUS boards (on asus homepage not here on THG), its difficult to find any information about this problem since their webserver feels like its running on my old P2 machine. I cannot even register a user there since all I get is: Server busy, Please try again in few times later. Thank you!

I believe its not specifically an ASUS issue though, and would like to know if anyone here have had similar issues and how/if you resolved them?

Regards
Torbjörn
