Hi all! I want to ask a question about hard drives.
I got windows XP on one partition that is 80 GB. I want to get another hard drive of 60-80 GB. Then attach it on my motherboard along my original hard disk. Can I transfer a program from program files to the new partition without having to reinstall them to a new path? For example, I cut and paste the whole folder of a program from the old drive to the new one. Will the games play slower from the new partition?
Thank you :)

You can get a 250GB drive for ~$55 that will be faster than whatever 80GB drive you have now. Download the manufacturer's utility for copying your present drive onto it.
After testing, reformat your original drive and use it for backups.

The practical answer is no.

There are programs designed to do it but they can't move everything and you may find yourself with broken applications and/or a lot of manual registry updates to make.

I suggest move your data from your old drive to the new one and call it good.
