how do i restart my linksys router?

Do you mean restart the router ? Or disconnect and reconnect internet ? Or Reset router ?

To restart router just turn off the mains at the wall, leave for a coupla minutes, turn it back on.

Disconnect from Internet within the router's user interface (see manual).

Reset the router, use the press switch (usually below a pinhole)
