Guessing at the question here but data yes, programmes no. If you don't have the CD or the original downloaded setup files, programmes cannot be installed properly in a new installation. You just cannot copy them over and expect them to work but ordinary data files - music, photos, documents etc. can be copied from one installation and pasted into another. In some circumstances, Windows Files and Settings Transfer Wizard will do it for you and you can find that in the Accessories under All Programmes or by typing migwiz.exe in the Run open box. You need to be certain your new installation is up to the same Service Pack level as the old before running the New Computer part of the migration wizard. [/#000ff]
