I have a 26 inch monitor with 1280x768 res, i want to play games like cod4 and bioshock maxed, i have 4gb ocz ddr2 800 a 3.2 6400+ and I want to know what would be better to absolutely max these games out, and I only have like 220 dollars Please helP!

Another option that i have is to get another 8500gt 512mb and run them in sli because i already have 1, would that put up the frames that either of these would?

They perform actually pretty close to each other so I would get a 512mb 3850 for the future.

The first one has a better fan.
Both are $200.

thanks, but how do you think it would run games on such a big screen?

The more memory the better, but if you dont want to pay the extra 60-180 for a 8800 GT 512mb or 8800 GTS G92 get the ATI 3850.

For an extra $50 you can get the 3870 with free shipping...

12x7? either would run them at max settings.... even my 8600m gt can run it maxed at that resolution.

Physical screen size doesn't matter to the video card, it just means pixels will be larger. Pixel count matters, and the HD 3850 512MB can easily handle 1280x720. No worries :)
