I want to monitor the temperature of my HardDrives but i am unable to do so.
I have tried using HddTemp (
It says "We cant find in your system any hard drives supports temperature"
other softwares are also unable to monitor.
HDTune , SpeedFan ,everest ultimate ,ActiveSMART

I am using Vista.
HDD Models are ST3160827AS and ST3250824AS
My Bios shows that my HDDs supports SMART mode.

Earlier when i was using XP it used to show the temperature.
Whats the Problem..pls Help.

Edit: I was mistaken. You do not need the BIOS option enabled - only for automatic monitoring (ie, not software.)

It looks like Vista requires a digital signature from software to allow access to hardware.

From the SpeedFan page - "SpeedFan works fine on Vista 64 bit too. The relevant driver is now signed with my digital certificate. And this all costs you absolutely nothing! "
