Graphics card upgrade?

First what are the spec's for your power supply including max amps? I think that the new 8800GTS 512MB card being a little better than the 8800GT and has a much better cooling system would be the way to go. Plus the GTS is in stock more than the GT is and the GT runs pretty hot which is why I don't like its single slot cooler design.

You do have a PCI-Express 16x slot, right? You can always use one of these to help you out on cooling.>>>

Yes have pci 16x. Think my power supply is 350w but i will upgrade it to a power supply that works with the graphics card I choose. I'm concerned as to whether my 3ghz p4 can run a 8800GT or GTS

You'll need minumum 400+ watts to run on what you have in your computer case with either an GT or GTS 512MB. I would shoot for a 520 watt PSU from>>>> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?

Your processer will bottleneck those graphics cards a little, but not to bad. The weak link in you PC is the G-card, later you could upgrade the processer for not that much money. If you were to upgrade you processer, mobo and Ram later in the year it would only cost about $399.99 for all below with only one of the mobo's.
