I put this build together back in June with some help from these forums. I now have the money to go ahead and purchase it. What I want to know is, is this the best build for my money or have things changed since June. I have roughly $3500 to spend total. I wish to stick with Intel.

I think it is still an excellent pc.

Mine:

Q6600 @ 2.4 gHz
2 GB ram
8800 GTS 640 mb
Vista 32.

I can run every game I throw at it at max, besides Crysis lol. I can play Crysis on high.

Personally I would go with 8800GT instead of the 8800gtx - half the price and keeps up with it in the benchmarks - especially since you arent going to have a crazy high resolution.
Also I would get the Q6600 instead of the qx6850 but that's up to you.
Also the new 8800gts 512mb just came out so you might want to consider one of those.

Also, the 680i motherboard doesn't support the new 45nm quad core penryns. You might want to keep that in mind when thinking about upgrading to a quad core penryn in the future.
