Hey All,
As I said, I have a 8800GT I brought in from Singapore.
it's xfx, AlfA-Dog Edition, 640mhz core speed.
BUT, as far as I can say, standard fan and heat sink.

after about 2.5hrs in Crysis, the screen got to be all red, and the computer stuck.

I believe it's over heating of the card, as it was very hot to touch, with nominal temp in windows of 54C.

Should I over-run the fans using Riva Tuner?
should I replace heat sink or fan?

can it be just game problem?

thanks all....

I would install the 169.12 Display Driver from Nvidia for your card, back when it was in (BETA), I had artifact tearing and other issues and it would crash but this driver was designed for the Crysis engine and the 8800 GT in mind as well. Hope that helps.

Oh and yes use RivaTuner 2.06, a good fan speed for that stock clock would be about 50+ % for sure to keep it well within limits. I use direct control (constant speed) of 75% when I overclock my eVGA 8800 GT SC to SSC spec. :D Good Luck.
